01 / Scope
What this document covers.
Any consigning of food products out of India sits under the FSSAI, and the licence is checkable on their public portal by number, which is why this entry exists on the register at all.
We add the number, issue date and expiry here once the document is issued. If a shipment cannot be covered by a valid licence, we will tell you rather than ship it and hope the destination does not ask.

02 / For buyers
What this means for your order.
Plain-language notes on what the document does and does not tell you.
- Ask for the FSSAI number and check it on the authority’s portal before you pay for food goods.
- If we cannot evidence a valid licence for what you have asked for, we will say no rather than proceed.

03 / Verification
How to check it independently.
A certificate number is only useful if you can take it to the source. Here is where to take this one.
- 01
Take the number from this page
The number is not published yet. Ask us and we will send the issued copy or the application reference.
- 02
Search the issuing body’s register
The issuing body is Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. Search its public register, or call it, using the number and the company or plant name.
- 03
Confirm the scope, not just the status
Check that the scope on the register matches the scope printed here. A valid certificate for the wrong activity is not cover for your order.
