01 / Scope

What this document covers.

Organic is the easiest claim in textiles to get wrong, because a certified grower does not make a certified shirt. The chain has to be certified end to end (gin, spinner, weaver, dye house and trimmer) or the claim does not hold.

For each textile order we name the certified facility and publish the scope certificate that covers your specific product class. A transaction certificate is then issued per shipment so the claim travels with the goods.

    Take the number from this page

    The number is not published yet. Ask us and we will send the issued copy or the application reference.

  2. 02

    Search the issuing body’s register

    The issuing body is Control Union. Search its public register, or call it, using the number and the company or plant name.

  3. 03

    Confirm the scope, not just the status

    Check that the scope on the register matches the scope printed here. A valid certificate for the wrong activity is not cover for your order.
